Day 15 – Patience

Speak these verses over them:

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! – Psalm 27:14

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land. – Psalm 37:7-9

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning. – Psalm 130:5-6

Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door. As an example of suffering and patience, brothers, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful. – James 5:7-11

Pray that God would give ISIS members patience. Pray that God would give them a longing to “wait on the Lord” and to seek his face. Pray that they would know the great patience God has with us and that from that knowledge they too would find the ability to forbear with others.

  1. Dear Father, the worship song today speaks of surrendering to you, that we find our lives when we lay them down. I do that today. I surrender to you. I wait for you to do your perfect will. Please show those you are calling out of isis and out of islam how to surrender to you and wait for you. Keep their hearts open to you and bring them out of their darkness into your marvelous light, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  2. Dear Father, we bless you today. We ascribe to you the glory due your name. We stand and serve and wait on you in the house of the Lord. We wait attentively, focused on you. We watch, ready to obey. At least, that’s what I want to do, Lord. Please give us the grace and anointing to wait, to hear, and to obey immediately. We believe your Word. We pray for our enemies–isis and all those who hate us because we love Jesus. Bring them to your truth. Save them from the lie of islam. Bring glory to Jesus, please. We pray in His previous name. Amen.

  3. Thank you Lord that your patience brings about salvation. Lord we don’t understand how you can allow a group like ISIS to continue but I believe that you are being patient. Lord may ISIS members hear of you and repent and invite you into their lives.

  4. Lord, I pray for the Christians in Syria and Iraq to fret not over ISIS and other jihadist groups who carry out evil attacks against them. Help them to be still and know that you are God and that you are in control of the situation. Give them the grace to forgive. I pray for ISIS that you convict them of sin, of righteousness and of judgment. I pray that you open their eyes, remove the veil over their minds and let them come to the Light. Bring them out of darkness into your marvelous light. Reveal yourself to them and save them. In Jesus’ name. Amen

  5. Dear Father, we enforce the victory of Jesus over satan particularly today. You win. Jesus is Lord. Please bring thousands of souls to a saving knowledge of Jesus. Open their eyes to truth. Thank you for the witness of your people who patiently serve you and speak your truth even under intense persecution. Come and do VERY awesome things today, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  6. Abba Father, Please forgive all the people of many Nations all our sins and Create in us a clean heart and renew a steadfast spirit within us because we believe in You, and out of our hearts will flow rivers of living water. We pray our minds will be open to the Word and truth and will have GREAT understanding and remembrance and know how to apply it to our lives. We pray that the Holy Spirit would bring conviction and repentance to those restricting the expression of faith. We ask for a great revival to come, open their minds and hearts and show them the truth there is only ONE LIVING GOD. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, which the Excellency of the Power may be of Yehovah, and not of us. We Pray for Your Kingdom to Come here on Earth as it is in Heaven and Your Will be Done, Your Way and in Your Timing. For this is what we patiently wait on You for, as we pray in the Mighty Name and Covered with the Precious Blood of Yehoshua. Yehmein

  7. Loving lord fill the Isis members with your love joy peace. Enable them to comprehend how much you love them and desire to embrace them. Forgive them lord for what they are doing and fill them with your patience. We pray that the fruit of the holy spirit be manifested in their lives. Amen

  8. Dear Father, one day to you is as 1000 years. I confess that’s what it feels like as we wait on you. It’s worse as we remember Pastor Saeed Abedini still trapped in that vile prison being tortured because he won’t deny Jesus. Please strengthen him in every way. Give him the souls of his captors and fellow prisoners. What the devil has meant for evil, turn to good–eternal good and glory for Jesus. Please free him. As thousands are praying together today for him and his family please have mercy and set him free. Show his family a sign for good. Bring millions of muslims to Jesus, even today. You can do that. Thank you for what you will do today, because it will be good, regardless of what it is. We give you praise as we wait on you, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  9. Fill us with patience as we pray and wait for answers. For those who wait on you shall renew their strength as Your written Word says. Open the eyes of ISIS hearts to long for you. In Jesus’ name.

  10. Dear Father, your Word says the whole creation is waiting for the sons of God to be revealed, and we groan inwardly as we continue waiting eagerly to be made sons–redeemed and free. You tell us that if we continue hoping for something we don’t see, then we still eagerly wait for it with perseverance. We know what we are waiting for because your promises are true. Isis and all muslims have put their hope in an idol. They can wait all eternity but they will never see peace or anything else from their rock. Our Rock is Christ. Please help these deceived ones to come to Jesus so they can know and wait with us for your Kingdom to come, and to have that joyful expectancy we have. Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus! Amen.

  11. Lord, stretch our faith further and strengthened while we wait on you for you never fail those who wait on you. Bless us with assurance as we tarry your revelation of what you are doing behind what we see and hear. In Jesus’ name.

  12. Dear Father, your Word has such power! You have exalted your Word above your Name. Your Word is absolute truth; your Word is Jesus. You tell us to wait for you to act, because our hope comes from you and we won’t be moved. I pray for your grace to do that, in spite of the evil reports we hear constantly. I believe you are answering our prayers on this site, particularly those prayed during ramadan. So we wait. The isis members and other muslims you’ve called this past month are waiting now too. Please show them what to do next. Establish connections for them with Christians, or establish their new faith in Jesus through Christian internet sites. Please do as you have said, Lord. We’re waiting as patiently as we can. We trust you and we praise you, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  13. Oh Lord, I ask You to move among ISIS leaders and commanders and bring them to a saving knowledge of You. Replace the violence and hatred in their hearts with peace and love.

  14. Dear Father, your ways are not our ways, neither are our thoughts your thoughts. We are trying to wait patiently, as James tells us, because we know you are working in isis. I pray that these lost and deceived people will grow impatient with their false god, like the Baal worshippers who were challenged by Elijah. Show them how powerless and impotent their rock idol really is. Show them the truth of Jesus. Show them the invincible power of your love and mercy, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  15. Dear Father God, You rule and reign over all the earth! Even though things look bleak and bad in the Middle East with ISIS, You have all power and authority to change their hearts . We cry out for them. Thank You are hearing and answering many prayers on their behalf so they will have a spiritual wake-up and come to the saving knowledge of the truth of Your precious Son Jesus. I lift You up and praise You and want You to receive all the glory and honor. Help us to persevere in praying and praising!

  16. Dear Father, How frequently your Word combines waiting with trust and expectation. You never disappoint those who wait for you. We wait for you to accomplish your perfect will; we wait for your Kingdom to come. Please cause these people who are ignorantly trying to build the kingdom of darkness to turn to you. Show them how you have been waiting for them in mercy. Compel them to take the time to find your truth–to see why Jesus is the only Way. Thank you for waiting for them and for us to come to you, in Jesus’ name. Amen

  17. Father,
Forgive me for my impatience. As I ask for you to grant patience to the members of IS whom you are drawing to Yourself, I ask for patience for myself and the Christians around the world at this time of crisis. I want to flee the news reports, run from the horror, but you call us to pray and I struggle to do just that. Like Jesus in the Garden before His execution, He asked the disciples to pray – and they fell asleep. I feel spiritually asleep or worse, disobedient to Your call.
Patience, Lord. Through Your Spirit, pour out patience on the IS members You are drawing to Yourself.

  18. As the ISIS members plot their next opportunity to strike in violence, use these silent and waiting moments to speak into their hearts about the futility of their efforts. Disrupt any murderous thoughts they may have. Draw their hearts to the Prince of Peace who is patiently waiting for all men to repent and respond to His wooing. Allow them to see a Christian today who is patiently waiting on God to move and act on their behalf.

  19. Dear Father,
You are patient with us. You have worked with us unceasingly to conform us to the image of your Son, and you are not finished with us yet. I pray that your patience would be real to these unbelieving, deceived people. Open their eyes to who you really are–the One True God of love. Give them time to hear you and really meditate on what you desire. Thank you for what you are doing, even if it’s not obvious to us at the moment. We believe you are working, because your Word says it’s not your will that any should perish. We give you praise and honor and glory, in Jesus’ name. AMEN
