Day 1 – Intercession and God’s light

But Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. Now as he went on his way, he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. – Acts 9:1-3

Jesus  said  “You  have  heard  it  said,  ‘Love  you  neighbor  and  hate  your  enemy.’  But  I  tell  you:  Love  your   enemies  and  pray  for  those  that  persecute  you,  that  you  may  be  sons  of  your  Father  in  heaven.” – Matthew 5:44-45a

Pray  that  the  church  throughout  the  world  would  follow  Jesus’ words to love and pray for their enemies. Pray  that  the  church  wouldn’t  just  sit back and watch  a  physical  war  take  place  but  that  they  would  fight with the most powerful weapons: prayer, fasting and love. Saul was a perfect example of a man who thought he was doing the will of God but was mistaken. Many of the ISIS members as well think they are doing the will of God. Pray that, like Paul, they would see the light of Christ. Pray also that in the presence of this light all darkness would have to flee. Pray that the light of Christ would expose all lies and reveal Jesus.

  1. Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you that we are beginning to see reports of Christians being released by ISIS instead of murdered. We know that this is by Your Hand. Please continue to soften their hearts and draw them unto You.

  2. Heavenly Father,
Give sight to the spiritually blind. Tug on the hearts of those that are distracted and not seeking you. Help us to hunger and thirst for your Word and dwell in your presence, that You will shine through us as your glory shined through Moses as he left your presence, that all will look to you and see the beauty of your salvation. In the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.

  3. Father God, please give ISIS members dreams and visions showing the how much you love them. Father God, In the name of Jesus, please take the spiritual blinders off of the eyes of ISIS members that you are calling to salvation and bring those that are chosen into the Body of Christ. Amen.

  4. Father we often forget how immensely great You are and how Your power and Love can transform even the worst enemies of Your Word. Forgive us! we want to pray today that Your immense Love will transform the members of IS. That they will get visions, dreams and encounters just like Pual had and that they will taste and see the Truth that is in Your Son.
Forgive them and teach us to forgive, AMEN

  5. Lord Jesus,
Help those people who were still blinded by darkness. Renew their mind and soul. Let them feel your presence and let them seek your face. Let them feel your love, guidance, and holiness. Give them sound mind and teach them to trust in you and you alone. I know you have plans for each and everyone. May your mercy and glory reign especially to the lives of those who needed you the most. Amen.

  6. Dear Father, today I pray not just for isis and all muslims to come to Jesus. I pray also for the ones who have been praying on these pages, for [others], and for those caring for this site. Please bless them with a fresh anointing of your Spirit as we start another prayer cycle here. Encourage all of us, and please keep us strong in you and in the power of your might. Please let these prayers join with millions of others, and rise as incense before your throne. Thank you that you honor persistent prayer. Thank you for the souls you will snatch from the evil one today. Thank you that your mercies are new and fresh today. We look to you, Lord. We lift up Jesus and pray in his name. Amen.

  7. Heavenly Father, I pray for members of ISIS and indeed other extreme Muslim organisations. Lord we know them only by their group name unless, chillingly, by the name of an executioner, but you Lord know each of them as your sons and daughters. I pray that their hate may be turned to love; love not only for those around them, but love for their enemies. May they have dreams and visions of Jesus Christ, and may they turn to You, the one true God. The one who loves them, accepts them for who they are. Amen.

  8. I pray that ISIS and all those impacted by ISIS will receive the grace of God through Christ Jesus as Savior and Lord. I pray that as the gospel of Jesus Christ spreads throughout the world this year that three billion new believers will receive Jesus as Savior and Lord in 2016.

  9. Dear Father,
Your Name is to be honored above all names! Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, to be the propitiation for our sins. You must truly love us to give up the life of Your only begotten Son for wretches like us. We truly do not know the boundaries of the depths of our human depravity. Although, we see some of it on display in the name of false religion and even so-called government compassion leading to corruption and poverty and despair. Even what little liberty we have in this world we squander away leaving ourselves open to pure evil to run its course in the name of groups like Boko Haram, ISIS, the Muslim Brotherhood, etc. Please oh Lord awaken the Sauls of today that we may have an abudance of Pauls to share the Good News of Your gospel message with this lost and broken world. In the Name of Jesus we pray, amen.

  10. Dear Father, May those lost and groping about in the darkness find the Light of Christ! In Your Mighty Name and for Your ultimate glory we pray, amen

  11. Dear Father, it’s in your light that we see light. We pray for your light to open the eyes of those trapped in Islam. The instinct of our natural eyes is to close tightly and blink and turn away when unexpected bright light hits them. As you shine the light of your truth into the souls of isis members and all muslims please let them see and turn to your brightness. Take the scales off their eyes so they can see and come to Jesus. Thank you for those whom you will save today, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  12. Dear Father, as we begin a new year may You ignite within each and every one of Your children a renewed passion for the lost and unreached souls of this planet. May Your light burn bright in us once again! May You fill us with Your Holy Spirit that we would have compassion on even the most wretched and vile individuals among us. Even as Jesus showed mercy and grace to those who mocked and humiliated and spat upon Him, may we show this same love and forgiveness to those who would persecute us. Reach out to the lost souls of ISIS, Boko Haram and even the more peaceful Muslims that they may find Christ before it is too late. Build Your church, advance Your righteous cause and agenda, and may Your kingdoms come soon! Amen

  13. Dear Father, it’s nearly Christmas. Thank you for giving us your Son and the privilege of knowing your salvation and all the grace and mercy that come with it. Please give muslims around the world, and particularly those in isis the same privilege. Let them know the Light of the world and the Prince of peace–Jesus, the Wonderful Counselor, the Everlasting Father, the Mighty God. Thank you for the souls you will add to your Kingdom today, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  14. Lord I pray that you will find a peron like (S)Paul who will be open to hear from You. That you will meet him and transform him into a messenger from their own ranks to proclaim Jesus. Yours is the glory for now and ever!

  15. Abba Father, I echo Leah’s prayer today and I just want to add that somehow miraculously that Your Name oh God in Heaven would be magnified, exalted and glorified even in the midst of the circumstances Your worldwide church finds itself in today. Certainly, Your Holy Spirit is on the move even now to touch the deadened hearts of even just a few unregenerate souls in ISIS to be convicted and turn to Jesus for salvation and forgiveness. You know Your sheep and You can bring salvation even to the lost souls of terrorist groups. May You bless and guide Your church as we minister and pray for the unreached. In the Name of Jesus we pray, amen

  16. Dear Father,

You know that we are but dust. We need your grace… grace to forgive, grace to love and to serve even our enemies. Please be with the Christians that encounter these attackers and overshadow any fears or anger with your patience and truth. May they be like Stephen when he beheld your glory and asked you to forgive the sins of his executors because they did not know what they were doing. May ISIS come to a knowledge and a holy fear of you. Lord I thank you that you are sovereign and work all things together for the good of those who love you and are called according to your purposes. You have a good purpose in all things! We love and adore you!

  17. Father, it is perhaps very easy for us in our human frailty and weakness to view the events in Paris and Mali recently as well as the cumulative results from ISIS and other terrorist groups throughout the world and lose heart. But Your Word says not by might, nor by power, but by Your Spirit, so we place our hopes and trust in You that You are somehow working all things for good to those who believe and are called according to Your purpose. We pray Your will be done oh Lord. Amen

  18. Jesus I pray that you send Christians to the Isis members in America to show them the love of Jesus. I pray for Isis around the world that they revive dreams and visions! Amen!

  19. Your word describes what we the church is to do. I pray the body heeds Your will and prays for love. You have the power to overcome and we pray for those in ISIS to have ears to hear. This we pray, in Your name. Amen

  20. Dear Father, I’m remembering Jesus’ question in Luke 18:1-8, where he tells us to keep praying and not lose heart. He asks if he will find faith on earth when he comes back. In the flesh, in the natural, I don’t have the right answer today. So I pray that I will see things the way they really are–your way. You win. Your love wins. Your love can overcome the most vile anything or anyone, as you demonstrated with Paul, or even King Manasseh. I believe you are working in isis and among all muslims to bring them to the truth of Jesus. I ask, as the boy’s father did in Mark 9: “Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief. ” I trust you, Lord. Thank you for what you are doing and will do today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
