Day 19 – Gentleness

Speak these verses over them:

You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand supported me, and your gentleness made me great. You gave a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip. – Psalm 18:35-36

And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but kind to everyone, able to teach, patiently enduring evil, correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, and they may escape from the snare of the devil, after being captured by him to do his will. – 2 Timothy 2:24-26

Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak, and let the earth hear the words of my mouth.

May my teaching drop as the rain, my speech distill as the dew, like gentle rain upon the tender grass, and like showers upon the herb.

For I will proclaim the name of the Lord; ascribe greatness to our God! – Deuteronomy 32:1-3

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” – Matthew 11:28-30

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace. James 3:17-18

Pray that they would know the gentle touch of our Lord. Pray that they would give their burdens to Christ and rest in his gentleness. Pray that they would know the wisdom from above that is gentle. Pray that they would respond to others with gentleness!

  1. Dear Lord, I pray that all members of ISIS will come to know that You are close to their broken hearts and crushed spirits and that Your desire is to rescue them all. May Your gentleness and unfailing Love comfort them just as a mother gently comforts her child. I pray that each one of them will return to You Lord because You are gracious and merciful, slow to anger, full of compassion, gentleness and kindness. Let us praise You Lord because we know that You will hear our cries for mercy. Amen

  2. I speak the Name of Jesus into the hearts and minds and souls of every single member of ISIS and take captive every thought of theirs to make them obedient to the Word of God and to the mind of Christ so that He can and will transform them by the renewing of their minds, establish homeostasis in their lives in order that they will experience His Gentleness as they learn to rest in Him and cast all their cares and burdens upon Him; then will they be blessed with great success as they turn their hands to only that which is wholesome and good, but also obedient to His Will therefore pleasing in His sight; then may they be prospered in every good way, a way that will Glorify The Lord. Amen

  3. I pray that they will come to know your gentleness and be drawn to know you, the Gentle Shepherd. Lead them gently to your care in your sheepfold. 4. Dear Lord, may all members of ISIS hear Your call “Come to me all of you who are heavy laden and I will give you rest.” Let them realise the Power of His Gentleness and that as they confess their sins of the past and surrender their lives to Him, the burden of their sin will be lifted away. As they live with Him, think of Him and talk to Him they will grow like Him, love Him, rest in Him, joy in Him and be transformed by His Gentle Spirit. Amen
