Day 24 – Pray for “Mighty Men of Valor”

The Lord is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation; this is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him. The Lord is a man of war; the Lord is his name. – Exodus 15:2-3

You have led in your steadfast love the people whom you have redeemed; you have guided them by your strength to your holy abode. – Exodus 15:13

Be exalted, O Lord, in your strength! We will sing and praise your power. – Psalm 21:13

And one of the scribes came up and heard them disputing with one another, and seeing that he answered them well, asked him, “Which commandment is the most important of all?” Jesus answered, “The most important is, ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” And the scribe said to him, “You are right, Teacher. You have truly said that he is one, and there is no other besides him. And to love him with all the heart and with all the understanding and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is much more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.” And when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, he said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.” – Mark 12:28-34

Pray for the estimated 20,000 to 35,000 ISIS members in Syria and Iraq. Pray that God would not leave a single one untouched by his love. Pray that the 1,000 among them that will initially turn to the Lord will be a witness to the rest. Pray that these fighters would find real strength (not in their abilities or power) but in the strength and power of Christ that is above everything. Pray that they would exercise all their strength and power to love God fully.

“Day 24 – Pray for “Mighty Men of Valor””

  1. Dear Lord, may we Your faithful followers never judge another but rather look at ourselves and cast out anything, however small, which is not of You. We can only do this by living closer and closer to You and only then will we learn that humility which will make us lose that desire to judge, to criticize. Help us to seek to love and understand all; to love them for Your sake because they are Yours also. As we live closer and closer to You may we see just how much You yearn over them and long for them, long for them to turn to You, surrender their lives to You and know the wonder and beauty of entering Your Kingdom. Amen

  2. Dear Lord I pray that these 20,000 to 30,000 members of ISIS in Syria and Iraq may learn the power of love and laughter. There is a quality about true love to which laughter is attuned. May they know the Joy of Heaven which is the consciousness of God’s Love. It is the Love that casts out all fear. I pray that they will learn to march in His Love and so conquer in His Love. Then they too will be able to reflect His Love to everyone around them and become beacons of Light in the dark places. Then will we see the devil flee and these people set free. Amen

  3. Father,
The members of ISIS are recruiting people worldwide. Especially now, Lord, I pray for mighty men of Your Godly valor to come forth and renounce their terrorist and ungodly past lives and turn to Jesus. May they disrupt the evil planned by their former colleagues and draw many into Your kingdom with their new hope and transformed lives in You.
    Amen

  4. Dear Father, please come in your power and glory, and visit these people who think they are mighty–including imams and other muslim or is leaders. Let them see truth and bring them to Jesus. Thank you for those you will save today, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  5. Father, please put an end to wickedness in high places. Please make Your presence known in all the Earth. Let Your kingdom come. Please answer the prayers of Your people.

Save Your people and bless Your inheritance.

  6. Dear Father, we don’t know what has become of the thousand isis members who were to have come to know you. I’m trusting that they are growing in the knowledge of God according to Ephesians 1:17-19. Please multiply their number exponentially. Please intervene in Syria today. Please stop the horrible slaughters and destruction that has gone on in these regions almost non-stop for thousands of years. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! Amen.

  7. Dear Father, the song today is focusing on your holiness: you on your throne as Isaiah describes in chapter 6. Every knee will bow to you. Every tongue will declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, and will give you glory. Please open the eyes of those trapped in the darkness and lies of islam to get a glimpse of your glory and your holiness. Draw them to your love and beauty. The contrast between you and their demonic god is so stark! Please save millions of muslims today. Please bring them out into your marvelous light, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  8. Dear Father, I watched a horrible video clip of a play put on by palestinian children. They portrayed how to shoot, stab, and stone Jews. They were in full costume; the “story” was unmistakable. How long, O Lord?! How long will you put up with this demonic religion? How long before you open the blind eyes and the deaf ears so that those trapped in this vile deception can see and choose truth? Please help! Start with the leaders and the parents. Surely your love is so much greater than the hatred of islam. Please intervene. Please save millions of muslims today. Thank you that you are greater and your timing is perfect. Thank you for what you will do today in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  9. Dear Lord, as it looks darker in the ISIS world, let there be light, your light. Convict each heart deceived by the spirit of darkness and death ruling in the minds of those in ISIS.
    In Jesus’ name.

  10. Dear Father, the song today is reminding me that you are the LORD, the Lord God, slow to anger and rich in love. Your Word shows how true that is, when we read about your longsuffering toward your people for generations. Thank you for that, dear Father. Please show that rich love in tangible ways to those trapped in the deceptions of islam, those who think violence is a sign of strength and killing pleases their god. Please give muslims the strength to actually look at what they’re believing and see the lies. Help them come to Jesus and truly live. Thank you for your protection over your people this weekend. Thank you for the gift of repentance. Thank you for those you will save today, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  11. Dear Father, to you a thousand years are as one day. Your timing is not the same as ours and your ways are not our ways. We acknowledge and believe everything you do is better; you do all things well. Thank you for those isis members you will save today. Use them to lead thousands of others to Jesus. We will not give up praying, Lord. We will watch and pray and wait with great expectation, and we will give you praise and honor and glory, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  12. Heavenly Father

I have no right to pray for these great matters on your heart, I am poor in my faith with little witnessing and still less outreach over the years. Nevertheless I cry unto you for these lost Isis people, save them please Lord.

I am praying for the estimated 20,000 to 35,000 ISIS members in Syria and Iraq. I pray to you Lord God that you would not leave a single one untouched by Jesus’ love.

I pray that the approximately 1,000 among them that will initially turn to the Lord will be a strong and effective witness to the rest. Lord please let these fighters find real strength (not in their abilities or power) but in the strength and power of Christ that is above everything Alleluia.
I pray that they would exercise all their strength and power to love God fully.
    In Jesus’ Name
    Amen

  13. Dear Father, the song today says you are good, good, so good. You are our refuge and high tower. You are mighty. Please show yourself strong today. Please show those trapped in islam that they are fighting an impossible battle, that they are weak and defeated, that their only strength and hope is in Jesus. Please bless your people Israel and Jews around the world as they prepare for Passover. Deliver them from the evil plots of islamic terror, even as you delivered them from slavery in Egypt. Thank you for what you will do today on behalf of your People of the Cross. We give you praise and glory in Jesus’ name. Amen.
