Day 14 – Peace

Speak these verses over them:

The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shined. You have multiplied the nation; you have increased its joy; they rejoice before you as with joy at the harvest, as they are glad when they divide the spoil. For the yoke of his burden, and the staff for his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, you have broken as on the day of Midian. For every boot of the tramping warrior in battle tumult and every garment rolled in blood will be burned as fuel for the fire. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this. – Isaiah 9:2-7

The Lord rules over the floodwaters. The Lord reigns as king forever. The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace. – Psalm 29:10-11

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. – Matthew 5:9

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. – John 14:27-28

For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility by abolishing the law of commandments and ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God. – Ephesians 2:14-20

Pray  the  verses  in  Isaiah  9  that  say  “no  more  war”.  Pray  that  God  would  replace  the  spirit  of  war, destruction, division in their hearts and replace it with peace. Pray that they would find peace with God and peace with man. Pray that they would know the Prince of Peace that has defeated all hostility!

  1. Open the eyes of their hearts Lord, open the eyes of their hearts that they may see You. See You as You really are, their Loving Saviour who is eager to forgive their sins, transform them by the renewing of their minds and set them free from the chains that bind them to the enemy. Let us smother every member of ISIS with the Love of Jesus, the Love that will wash them clean, remove every stain and sin, restore them to the people God has planned them to be and for them to know the Joy and the Peace that only His Love can bring. Amen

  2. Dear Lord, may ISIS members discover that Your Peace is loving faith at rest. It is the Peace that only You can give in the midst of their restless world which is surrounded by trouble and difficulty. We pray that they will come to know that Peace and to receive it as the Stamp of The Kingdom. It is the mark of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Bless them with Your Peace O Lord. Bless them with Your Peace. Amen

  3. Heavenly Father I pray that You will fill the hearts and minds and souls of every single member of ISIS with Your Peace, that Peace which the world cannot give. May they learn to practice this Peace so that all their ills, difficulties and sorrows will leave them unmoved no matter what may threaten them. It is the spirit of calm trust in You our Saviour that turns aside the darts and stings of adversity. I pray that they will all learn to practice it by seeking You each day and then by abiding with You in order to find this changelessness and calm. Amen

  4. Dear Lord, I speak the Name of Jesus into the hearts and minds and souls of every single member of ISIS. May You Lord make Your Face to shine upon them and be gracious to them; turn Your Face toward them and give them Your Peace into their hearts and minds and souls. I pray for the end of all wars which begin with fear, then anger, then hatred. This can only be achieved when the Peace of Christ rules in their hearts, which will keep them in Perfect Peace when they learn to trust Him and keep their eyes upon Him in steadfast love. May the Peace of God, which passes all understanding guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Amen.

  5. I pray that each member of ISIS will learn to ‘be still and know that I am God.’When they learn to live, live in You the right life with God quietness and assurance will surely follow. Lord, teach them to rest in You, to live in You so that they gain that Peace which is the work of righteousness. May they experience the calm which is born of a deep certainty in You, in Your Promises and in Your Power to save, to keep and to protect. The Peace of God surely does pass all human understanding. Amen

  6. Into the hearts and minds and souls of all the members of ISIS I speak the mighty Name of Jesus, that Name above all Names, the Name at which evil shrinks away, the Name that brings His Peace and Love and Joy, His Healing Power and Saving Grace. Let us breathe His Name often over ISIS in tender confidence and love. Amen.

  7. Lord, so much anger, hatred, death, destruction and division, not only among ISIS but in our own country. In the Creation account in Genesis, the Word said the Holy Spirit hovered over the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light” and there was light. Holy Spirit, hover over the dark waters of ISIS and hatred and division in our nation. Bring Your light. We lift up to you those captives in the stronghold of the enemy. In the mighty name of Jesus, we claim their release from the power and persuasion of the evil one. Lord, may Your Spirit invade their hearts and minds so they would be open to hear and receive the Gospel message and come to know the Prince of Peace. May Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  8. Lord ” blessed are the peacemakers for they shall see God ” I pray that 1000 isis members would come to know the prince of peace Jesus

  9. Dear Father, your Word says there is no peace for the wicked. And it orders the wicked and the unrighteous to forsake their ways and return to you, for you will abundantly pardon. Please give the leaders of isis and the imams all over the world the grace to forsake their wicked ways and come to Jesus, to receive real peace, here and in eternity. Let them lead their followers to peace in Christ. Let them be even more open to Jesus as we are in the season of celebrating His birthday. Thank you for those whom you will save today, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  10. Dear Lord,

We pray for Your peace today in the world. May the Prince of Peace be revealed to the remaining lost sheep that Your kingdom may come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven!

  11. We pray Father, that as Is 2:4 and Mic 4:3 says, that they shall no more Study war, but their swords be turned to ploughshares. May they help to bring about peace and know His peace. And pray for the peace of Jerusalem as our Messiah told us to.

  12. Dear Father, I’ve been out of the loop for a while but you have never left. You are still in control. There’s no peace, though, not the world’s and not yours either–it appears. But your peace comes in the spirit, so I pray that your own People of the Cross would know and demonstrate your peace, and it would be a magnet for thousands of muslims who have to be weary of the constant horrors and uncertainties of their lives. Please bring them to Jesus and give them your salvation and peace. Thank you, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  13. Father, apart from You we cannot know peace. Jesus is our peace. The Muslim people walk in darkness. They live in a land of darkness. Shine the light of Your love and peace and grace and mercy over them. Remove the scales from their eyes, unstop deaf ears, plow the hard soil of their hearts and reveal Your truth to them. Tear down the walls of lies they have believed so they may know that peace that passes all understanding so they can truly live. Lord, come to them, show them Your glory, save them. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

  14. Dear Father, I’m thinking of Psalm 121 today, and the peace that comes from knowing you are our keeper. Even though my life has been so hectic these days that I haven’t gotten to this site, still your hand has been on me and this nation, and you did not permit any big terrorist attacks during the 9/11 memorial times. You are our awesome protector and our Prince of Peace. Because of Jesus we have inner and outer peace. Please open the eyes and hearts of muslims to see and desire your peace, Lord. Show them that you can be their keeper. Show them your real love and peace. Thank you for those you will save today, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  15. Dear Father, Jesus said, “Because iniquity will abound, the love of many will grow cold.” I never understood what that meant years ago when I first read it. Now I’m beginning to get it. How many more atrocities must happen? Murders are so commonplace now there’s hardly any news about them. Please help, Lord! How long will you permit isis to get away with this horror? There is no peace, and demons are reveling. Jesus also said, “He who endures to the end will be saved.” Please give grace to your people who are being martyred. Help them to endure. We choose Jesus. We will wait and trust you. Save a million muslims as a direct result of the murder of the French priest. Please come and do awesome things today, for your great name’s sake. We pray for your peace, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  16. Dear Father, thank you for all your promises concerning peace. “Great peace have they which love Thy law…” Please reveal your truth, Jesus Christ, the complete fulfillment of the law. Show all muslims their works are useless and they need Jesus. Thank you for those you will save today in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  17. Dear Father, Please bring the peace that passes all understanding to the Middle East today. Your people need peace, and muslims are in desperate need of the Prince of Peace. Come by the power of your Holy Spirit and subdue all the demonic forces that agitate and cause war and strife. I know that’s a huge generic prayer, but you are the King of kings and Lord of lords, and you win. Please let your victory be seen today. Thank you for those you will bring out of darkness into your marvelous light. In Jesus’ name. AMEN

  18. Dear Father, Psalm 85:10 says mercy, lovingkindness, and truth meet together and righteousness and peace kiss each other. I pray that you will bring all those qualities together in the Middle East and in all the areas of strife and hatred throughout this sad world. You can do it through your church, Lord. That’s what you said should happen. We have your Holy Spirit, so we can. Please help your church in these places to shine and show your love particularly to muslims. Let them see the peace that comes from Jesus, and to see that it’s so much better than the way they live now. Draw them to Jesus, Lord, because that’s what your word says has to happen in order for men to come to him. We pray in his name. Amen.

  19. Dear Father, more horrible reports about isis atrocities–the awful things they are making little children do. I’m reminded about what you said to Jeremiah, that it did not “come into My mind that they should do this abomination…” Little children who have no concept of your love or peace or joy–please intervene, dear Lord! I know you are grieved. Please help, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  20. Heavenly Father,
May the Prince of Peace come into every heart throughout Iraq, Syria, and all of the Middle East. May the peace of Jesus Christ dwell in each heart through faith in the Savior. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
