Day 15 – Patience

Speak these verses over them:

Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! – Psalm 27:14

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! Refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil. For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land. – Psalm 37:7-9

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning. – Psalm 130:5-6

Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door. As an example of suffering and patience, brothers, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful. – James 5:7-11

Pray that God would give ISIS members patience. Pray that God would give them a longing to “wait on the Lord” and to seek his face. Pray that they would know the great patience God has with us and that from that knowledge they too would find the ability to forbear with others.

  11. “Lord thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven ” your Good news will reach the ends of the earth. Jesus saves!!!

  12. Dear Father, it’s been a while since I’ve prayed on this site, but you know we still pray. So today I pray that isis and all muslims will realize the truth of who Jesus really is, and how patient you’ve been. Show them your love and draw them into your Kingdom. Please protect innocent people from the terrorist plots and attacks during the Christmas season. Foil all their plans and save their souls instead. Thank you for what you will do in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  13. Father, please help them to understand that You are in control and You shall bring what is coming to pass, without human intervention. Stop the desire in them to want to control events and people and to be patient and trust in Your plan for all nations. Help us to be patient too as You are in control even of ISIS and how far You will allow them to go. You direct the hearts of kings as water. We wait patiently for You to direct events to the culmination of Messiah’s return. We thank You for Your grace, mercy and patience towards us, Father.

  14. Dear Father, thank you again for your patient kindness toward all of your creation. I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but please help your people to have patience with you as we wait for your purposes to be fulfilled. Please bring down the evils of islam and isis. Give muslims a serious impatience with their godless religion and let them patiently and diligently search for you. Let them find the truth of Jesus. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  15. Dear Father, thank you for you great love, patience, and mercy towards us. Please show all muslims that your patience is intended to bring them to salvation in Jesus. Please glorify the Name of Jesus today as we pray in his name and for your glory. Amen.

  16. Dear Father, thank you again that you sent Jesus in the fullness of time. You waited then, and you’re waiting now for the times of the Gentiles to be fulfilled. I pray that you would show those muslims who are waiting and trying to speed up the coming of their mahdi that you alone are God, and our times are in your hands. Show them that you are waiting because you want all men to be saved. Show them that they are believing a lie and are heading for eternal condemnation. Please bring them up short and open their eyes to your truth. Thank you for those you will save, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  17. Dear Father, thank you for your longsuffering toward us. Help me to understand the greatness of that character quality. Please continue to display it toward all muslims as you work with them, particularly in these last days of ramadan. Show them the waste of time it is to try to serve a lifeless rock, a demon idol, a futile works-oriented religion. Please save thousands and thousands of them today, we pray, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  18. Dear Father, the leaders of islam and isis have been patiently plotting for decades, even centuries. Please show them that the end of their patience is eternal condemnation. Please show them your truth, that you are not slow but patient and merciful, not wanting anyone to be destroyed, but wanting everyone to turn away from following his own path and turn toward God’s (2 Peter 3:9). Thank you for those you will save today, and who will then lead other muslims to Christ. We give you praise and honor and glory, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  19. Dear Father, one of the results of disobeying you is futility–striving and waiting for what will never happen (Romans 8:20, Psalm 78:33). That describes all those trapped in islam and other idolatries. Please open their eyes to see truth. Let them see the end of their waiting is eternal torment unless they come to Jesus. Thank you for your forbearance with us–your great patience and love that drew us to Jesus. You are no respecter of persons. Please save hundreds of thousands of muslims today. Thank you for all that you will do today, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

  20. Lord,
May those in the ISIS organization be saved and learn the virtues of patience for there will be much gained as they stand in the gap interceding for others to come to a saving knowledge of You. Change their hearts, Lord, so they will be mighty soldiers for Your army through preaching the gospel with loving patience, enduring until the end. For once they may have been willing to die for Allah, now they will be willing to die for their faith in You.
